FAQ

We are Moab's first and only camper van rental company with 50 + combined years of guiding and adventuring experience.

  • What about Insurance?
Our vans are fully covered through overlapping ways during your rental. Primary Insurance: In the unlikely event an accident does occur, your auto insurance policy will be used as the primary insurance coverage. If you carry comprehensive and liability coverage on your personal car, coverage typically will extend to our rental vans. You will need to provide us with a copy (photo) of your insurance card or travel policy information (International travelers), and driver's license, prior to your rental. Secondary Insurance- Our Insurance Coverage: We carry commercial fleet insurance coverage, with a Vehicle Combined Liability of 1,000,000, and a Vehicle Physical Damage that covers the full stated value of our vans. Both have a $1000 deductible that would be the responsibility of the renter following a collision. Depending on your auto insurance deductible, this may may be covered by your policy. Our commercial fleet insurance is included in the daily rental rate and serves as a secondary insurance coverage for our vans, meaning our insurance would take effect after your personal vehicle insurance is utilized. Supplemental Insurance- Credit Card: You should also check with your credit card company—the credit card that you’ll be using for your van rental. If there are any gaps in coverage with your personal auto policy, the credit card company could provide additional secondary coverage. We recommend you book our vans with a credit card with rental coverage for extra peace of mind. Supplemental Insurance- Online Options: You can also opt to purchase supplemental rental insurance from a site like rentalcover.com Policies with a $0 deductible/$35,000 Collision Damage Waivers are only around $18/day for our vans. This is an easy, affordable option if you do not have personal auto insurance. Please contact us if you have any additional questions about insurance on our vehicles or need help getting supplemental insurance.
  • Do you offer Roadside Assistance?
We try our best to keep our van operating in a tip-top condition by regularly maintaining our vehicles and performing safety checks. Due to the rural nature of Southeastern Utah and the age of the vehicles, we prefer that our vehicles stay within roughly a 2 hour driving radius of Moab, or approximately 100 miles. This includes quite a large area with a lot to explore. In the event of a breakdown, our vehicles are fully covered for towing within this area. If a vehicle breaks down due to collision or driver error(i.e. stuck in a ditch; leaving the lights/radio on; inability to operate a functioning vehicle), you are responsible for any amount your personal auto insurance and our fleet insurance does not cover. If you fall outside of the 2 hour driving radius, you will be responsible for any towing cost per mile (over 100 miles) if the vehicle breaks down due to a collision or driver error. Towing costs for breakdowns that are not a result of a collision or driver error will be covered if you are within 150 towing miles of Moab (you pay for any amount over 150 miles). If you have personal roadside assistance coverage such as AAA, then we recommend you travel with that as well for added peace of mind. Additionally, in the case of collision, your personal vehicle insurance may cover the additional cost of towing. In the unlikely case of a vehicle breakdown, we will often be able to drive to you and either fix the van on the spot, or trade out your vehicle with another nearly identical van. Again, given the rural nature of Southeastern Utah, this is often the fastest way to get you back on the road! We ask that you try to contact us first to help you self rescue, and/or secure a tow or other assistance for the vehicle. Vans are outfitted with spare tires and tools to change them, tire inflators, battery jump starters, and a spare hide-a-key for the door (not ignition).
